Last night cast these and this afternoon coated them in power purple!
The picture doesn't really capture the color it's a very shinny deep purple & I am really looking forward to seeing how the finished rounds look.
Brass or nickel cases?

Finished examples & a better picture where you can see the deep purple color better.

First tray of 429421's out of the oven, before sizing. (ESPC, HF red)

A tribute to James Bond...Or maybe Mr. Scaramanga. Golden Boolits! Transparent Gold from Prismatic...this is hard to capture perfectly, lighting-wise. They recommend it as a topcoat over a chrome powdercoat. By itself it has a golden hue but looks more like a really shiny coat of Lee Liquid Alox in most light. Loaded into a brass case it looks okay, would be better in a nickel case for a two-tone look.

429421 in Smoke's yellow/green.

Tried some of Smoke's colors today, and was very pleased! Traffic Orange, Pink (Telemagenta), Traffic White and Clear.
Here's before and after; the clear goes on looking white, and you can see the coverage...Clear is in the foreground. Oh, the blotches are my fault...Bumped the tray prior to baking and knocked some powder off re-setting the boolits upright again.
Now, for those who haven't used clear before, it does a pretty good job, but it does take a little away from the 'shininess' of freshly cast boolits. Here's a comparison, clear PC on the left and uncoated (as cast) on the right.

Had some candy purple which just wouldn't coat well with dry tumble. So I experimented with two batches, adding a pinch of clear to one and a pinch of mirror black to the other. My thinking is that since those coat well, they'd help the purple adhere better. Purple & clear is on the left, purple & black on the right. It's not perfect but gets the job done.

Smoke's SD Copper mixed with some leftover yellow/green on some Ideal 454424's.

Trying out a sample pack from Smoke. I thought HF red and Eastwood black went on easy, but I'm a smoke believer now.
Lee 356-125-2R double cavity w/ range lead
ASBBDT method (even though it was raining outside)
Cheap oster convection from wally world
Now I need more colors - but wait, I should get more lead too - maybe a few new calibers - and guns to shoot them - OH THE INSANITY!
This casting/reloading stuff is saving me so much money! Disclaimer: I only look at cents/round and ignore any other costs
Making a load of 454424's for Mama, in Smoke's pink. She doesn't live near me, so I have to load about 6 month's worth at a time for her.
I lined a few of em up for a pic. You can clearly see the outline of the 6-32 nut on the bottom of the boolits.

Almost forgot.... Skizzums wanted to see the copper colored bullets next to brass.....
Here's some next to some 8mm brass.
The bullets on the top left are Smoke's orange-brown. Top right is Smoke's SD Copper.
Bottom left is a mix of those two colors, and bottom right is a mix of those two with a good bit of Smoke's yellow/green in there (see post #195)
