You can run any and all reloadable cartridges on it with cast boolits. You just have to use the right amount depending on the caliber. And no filler used, no matter how big the case is. You can also blow yourself sky high with it if you use too much, so do be careful.

While I cannot disagree with any of the load recommendations & applications above, I also enjoy shooting plain based bullets out of my .30 cal. rifles. One does not usually think of the 30-06 and Bullseye. However under the right conditions , it is impressive.

Same load is great in a 38 special case.

I use it in 38, 357, 40 & 45 at the suggested starting load for economy and it works good for me. I think it meters well and I also use Unique in the above listed loads and BE seems a smidge dirtier. I like having black, greasy hands after shootin up a coupla hundred rounds of pistol. It eases my arthritic hands! LOL!

Not yet, and 2.3 grains of BE under a 150 grain boolit shoots right to the sights in my Colt Police Positive. NOT FOR TOP-BREAKS, excepting the Webleys.

No one has mentioned the Hardball Duplicator in 45 ACP--#452374 atop 5.0 grains of BE, seated 1.260" OAL.

If you want to use it up a bit faster, you can load light 12 gauge target loads with it.. Alliant has data for it in the 12 with 7/8 and 1 ounce loads.. I think 16.5 gr with a 1 oz load does about 1200 fps.. not sure on wad or hull..

Bullseye has a very high (about 40%) nitroglycerin content. No ignition problems, no position sensitivity in any handgun calibers. It just plain works for all but the top end loads in revolvers.

Thank you, Nobade, I ended up pulling bullets on 9mm with it, too hot. I'm not afraid to pull bullets ( just say, "too hot, not shooting them") or cutting the brass in half with a tubing cutter to dispose of overloaded rounds.

I tried some 41 mags with 5 grains of BE and they were too soft, I'll have to work up a load by 1/10th grains at a time.
In all, the .41 Magnum would be one of my top choices for an all-around handgun if I were allowed to have only one. - Bart Skelton

    I use bullseye in 9mm, 38 Spl, 357 mag and 45 Acp.

BE is also a great powder for loading #9 shot in my 38's and 357. It doesn't take much powder and leaves lots of room for the lead shot.

    Um - shooting bullseye.

    No - really.
I used it for NRA bullseye pistol shooting with a .38 special for years.
It does very well in light target loads for nearly any handgun cartridge, and with medium to full-power performance in most non-magnum handgun cartridges as well.

One other thing B'eye is good for is fire forming. I use 6.0 gr in a .22 Hornet case topped by a .224 cal bullet and shoot it in my .25 Hornet. Cases come out formed perfectly and of the right length.
I have used B'eye to form other cases as well including .300 Win mag into .416 Taylor (2.6" length). I start with about 10 grains and then fill with corn meal with a tissue paper stopper in the case mouth. Works like a charm especially in fire forming nickel plated brass from .300 WinM to .416 Taylor.

I'll second the us of Bullseye in 12 guage targt loads!

I use a 7/8's ounce 8 shot load in Federal Paper case's and pressureis in the 5500 PSI range.

Very light recoil and has an incredible core density at 40 yards.

Can shoot all day with this load

THE powder for punching paper with the 38 Special. Target loads in most all handgun calibers. Pressure builds too fast for magnum loads or high velocities. A slower powder will get more velocity at a given pressure level for those.
