I ask people to throw a tennis ball at a wall, and draw and shoot it before it gets back to you. That's how fast a bear moves, and the size of the brain you have to target.

I have a Browning 1886 rifle and a saddle ring carbine. Never had any issues so I never took them apart. I have no idea how close to original they are. I picked up the saddle ring cheap due to some deep stock scratches. Just picked up a blank...

Comparing one animal to another means nothing. Comparing the same cut of meat from the same animal is easy. Age some, freeze some and prepare them at the same time. Question answered.

I agree with the 600-700 range, more for a really nice one. There was a problem with cracking barrels that was found to be 125 gr or less fired full loads. That was the reason that the L frame was brought out. If you get it I would stick with 158 gr...

Standard primer is all you need with flake powders. Some ball powders need a magnum primer if you want to play with H110/WW296, use them. Nice looking revolver.

JB, My reply was to the OP as he would not have the time on the board to remember how truly horrific were the group buys of the early 00's. Long waits, reshipping to individuals from the honcho, less than accurate specs make the whole question of...

One more point on the tolerancing. Normally manufactures tend to shoot for the middle of the tolerance. With gage pins they tend to be very close to the plus or minus tolerance. A .0002 plus will be very close to .0002" over and a .0002" under...

My old Chesapeake would do it. After I would find a fresh one in the spring I would show it to her, and for the next month or so she would go out in the bush and bring them back pretty regularly.

Either one will work for you. Most use the minus tolerance (.0000,-.0002) pins. The tolerance selection is mostly to ensure the pin tolerance doesn't allow a bad part. Example it a hole with 1.000" max and a .999" min. You would select a minus...

I see a join date of 2017. I remember far too many group buys that you paid for, waited 6-8 months to get and it came back 0.003" under what was spec'd. NOE and Accurate have given us a lot to be thankful for.

Seating a bullet 0.005" off of the lands results in less pressure than if the bullet is jammed into the lands.

They start when you start the vehicle. They loop record, so are on all the time. If you have an incident you want to save, there is a button you push. Mine saves about three minutes worth.

Sounds like the bullets are undersized. Drop bullets in the cylinder. They should be able to be pushed through with a pencil eraser. If they drop right through, or push out too easy, they are too small.

I don't paint bullets. I like Black Rifle Coffee. Sacred cows are always fair game. California is to the United States what Syria is to Russia and North Korea is to China/South Korea/Japan--a Hermit Kingdom detached from the real world and led by delusional maniacs, an economic and social basket case sustained by "foreign" aid so as to not lose military bases.
