If I recall correctly, US .30 carbine ammo was always non-corrosive.

Could be the blk case is small enough to boost pressure high enough to avoid that. You'll find out soon enough.

The primer blast is powerful enough to drive the case forward to let the chamber push the shoulder back, and the light loads don't make enough pressure to push it back against the bolt face. Same thing if you do that in 35rem or 35 whelen or...

Be careful with that. I tried the same thing and the cases got shorter each time I fired them until they had so much headspace they wouldn't fire.

I have one of those CZ rifles. The throat is military style, a big tapered cone. It will shoot anything that can be chambered. Don't worry about sizing your boolits, just load and shoot. BTW, the twist is fast enough to stabilize 250s. It makes a...

Depending on what you're doing you may want to look into a custom reamer. The standard one doesn't exactly have a throat designed for accuracy.

The OEM ones work fine. And with the hex cut into them they're easier to deal with since you can use a nut driver on them.

That looks like a cap n ball 62 police like mine. Tell more please on the 22 LR conversion. THAT would be the PERFECT 22 for me ... as long as the conversion does not change the revolver. Guess I could obtain a Uberti 62 or pocket navy for the...

Many years ago when I started building AR match rifles I asked Bill Wylde (well known AR gunsmith) about locating and drilling the gasport without getting a burr. He replied he drove a lubricated bullet under the gas port location before drilling,...

Perfect! That is just the comparison I was seeking. It really looks like it is the very same in size as the 62 Police. I betcha the weight is very close as well. I very much enjoy my 62 police and have often wondered about trying to do a 22...

Thanks. If you are familiar with col. Colts pocket 31 cal revolvers or the 1862 Police models ... is this new Bearcat this size or slightly bigger? Just trying to get a comparison sizewise. Also is the frame / cylinder steel or a tempered...

Seems like another new one from Ruger. The Bearcat is a kinda replica of and reminiscent to the Remington New Army model ... scaled down. It seems to be a single cylinder gun in 22 LR without the mag cylinder. Just wondered if anybody has one...

Doesn't look like it'll get the dual range, but with the bigger FI 125 and current low first gear it'll likely not need it. And there's a ton of hop up stuff out there for that Grom motor so you can make it rather interesting if you choose too. I...

I had one of those old hand ejectors, the throats were huge, about .315". I just used bullets as cast, from dead soft lead, loaded over 20gr. 3f black powder. It shot beautifully with that load. Never was worth a darn with smokeless though.

An Accurate paper patched boolit, about 225gr. is all I use in my 338-06. It shoots as good as I can see, at full pressure and velocity. I never saw the need for anything else. I agree in the win mag something like 4759 or AA5744 would probably be...

ADL mag box is taller and has the little tab to attach it to the receiver. Follower and spring will interchange if you hammer the front of the spring flat so it'll go in the BDL floorplate.

Weren't Burton's bullets grooved and designed to be shot naked with lube? Or did he design others that used a patch? After using the bigger Pritchett bullet for a while, I think the later smaller one would be better just like the Army decided. The...
