Any machinist ought to be able to do the sight. You'll need to select a front sight with a shallow dovetail. I get mine from track of the wolf. I buy the one with the shallowest dovetail and grind the blade to shape.

That alteration to an original would cause a huge decrease in value.
The solid soft lead bullet is undoubtably the best and most satisfactory expanding bullet that has ever been designed. It invariably mushrooms perfectly, and never breaks up. With the metal base that is essential for velocities of 2000 f.s. and upwards to protect the naked base, these metal-based soft lead bullets are splendid.

yea i know that and wouldn't even consider such a thing.
I've had (and have) many cap and ball revolvers, but two that I've never acquired are the Starr and the Rogers and Spencer. I've passed on several Starrs (including one original) because they can be kinda finicky (especially the DA). I had one shot at a R&S repro but passed, and I regret it. They are great looking guns, feel great in my hand, and are very accurate.
I have never used Mike but will soon with a Pietta 1851.

Jackrabbit1957 over at THR has worked on a few of my revolvers and does excellent work.
If you are anywhere near eastern Ky, there's a local 'smith who could do what you want. He builds longrifles and has a pretty good collection of blackpowder revolvers.
