The Australian made T22 was good ammo years ago.
It deteriated when they changed their yellow box design the 2nd or 3rd time.
I could go on about icil std ammo in my gun but it nearly makes me still cry when they stopped making it.

    I use 22 cci std.
Tried the sk magazine as it is raved about but not for mine.

They are all very slightly different in diameter and form.

Found some weird eley made in Mexico cheap.
Bought a couple of packets to try.
Well I should have kept my mouth shut ‘cos I went back to buy all of it and it was gone.

They now call the t22 super x, but the boxes are still marked T22, the velocity is listed at 1135 on the box.
Interestingly enough at 200 meters there's little accuracy difference between it Laupua Center x and Midas, and Remington/Eley target, from my C Sharps lowall, fitted with a 14 twist McGowen barrel.
Long range rules, the rest drool.

currently, i find it hard to beat cci sv for general performance, availability, and price. mostly there's some amount of luck in the lot yer buying and using, even with the high priced "match" cartridges. just the way it is with .22 rimfire ammo.

To answer the question on the CMP Eley,it was discussed on Rimfire Central. The concensus was that it was as good as CCI Std. Vel. or slightly better. With the price difference I could not justify buying it for bullseye pistol.

Folks often have a favorite practice ammo and a favorite match ammo.
Most folks don't want to waste their limited amount of a specific lot of proven match ammo just to practice, or to spend as much money on ammo just to practice.

If a person can keep track of their sight click adjustments, then that can make it easier to switch back and forth
from practice to match ammo without wasting as many sighting in shots.

I still have some T 22 from CMP. It is better than the new stuff. Even some old white box from DCM is better than new stuff. It is still true that your rifle is one of a kind and you must try all you can even hi speed, to find the most accurate. CCI Std has been a winner over the years.

Yes - it's sad that the "Average" American ammo is poor quality stuff now. But - I suppose that's the Voice of the Customer speaking. You want cheap instead of good - well - they are happy to provide it.

I got a brick of Winchester "Super X" SV hollow points - made in Australia. They shoot very well - interestingly enough they shoot right into the same groups as CCI SV... So I could practice with CCI SV and hunt with the Winchester Super X without adjusting my sights. Fantastic stuff. But it's gone now. Winchester discontinued it. So I am keeping close tabs on my small hoarde for squirrel hunting duty.

There was some Winchester Super X standard velocity ammo coming out of Australia during the recession that was really good stuff. It shot well in my guns.

    Unfortunately, it's gone too.
