I have a couple of tire shops that give me their wheel weights. It is now about 50% lead and 50% trash I throw away. Still better than paying but I hate to think about what is in the bucket.

I have a small tackle box that i put my daily cleaning stuff in. I keep enough patches for several cleaning sessions. I use a choke tube holder for all the brushes, jags and mops. I use a tool box for all the bulk stuff and surplus.

I don't get caught up so much in the covenants. I believe in one covenant " The just shall live by faith". With that all men of all generations could have salvation. Starting with Abel, a sacrifical system was in place for the redeeming of sin. Job...

I like the 45 acp cartridge over the .40 s&w but that is a personal thing. The full length guide rod is unnecessary and makes disassembley more difficult but other than that it looks good. There is no such thing as a bad 1911.

My guess is that the 155 g. bullet will feed in your firearm. The 200 g. And 155 g. bullet noses are about the same length so their feeding should be close.

I would preheat the pot the first time around just to drive out any water that may be trapped underneath the ceramic.

The soot will not hurt anything. The brass case acts as a seal that should keep all combustion ( and pressure ) going down the barrel. The brass swells to form a tight seal and then contracts. Soot on the side of a case indicates some blow by. If it...

I suspect that the bullet is too small for the bore. That can be caused by three problems; 1.) The actual bore is over .355" and the bullet is not getting the correct rotation. This should be associated with lead in the bore after firing several...

As stated I think the first two are for a Bob Day conversion. I have never seen one but it looks like they have an insert in a regular .45 acp magazine. The other two are as stated; a modified .38 super to.38 special. The other is a Colt mid-range.

Usually there is one capacitor for the fan and compressor. Sometimes the capacitir is swollen or stinking when bad. There is a fuse for control circuit. The buzzing may be a transformer. Good luck.

Not sure on the first two but they appear to be for some type of 22 conversion for the 1911. Are they a.45 magazine with an insert? If so I think Bob Day did that. The bottom three look like Colt Ace. The middle two: one is a .38 super which is...

Most commercial bullet casters use virgin alloy that is high on the hardness scale. Most time it is harder than you need except in the faster magnum calibers. So you can start your loads as you would with jacketed bullets, since the commercial...
