Anybody gotten any of there gun kits? I was looking at a barn gun kit after seeing some nice ones at Friendship yesterday. I kind of like a purely utilitarian gun. The simplicity really appeals to me.

I built Andy's guns from one of their kits. Had to send back sub-par parts to get replacements. Ramrod channel was routed from the inside of the stock, and had to put in wood to strengthen stock. Ended up costing Andy more than if he would have got a quality kit in the beginning.
The solid soft lead bullet is undoubtably the best and most satisfactory expanding bullet that has ever been designed. It invariably mushrooms perfectly, and never breaks up. With the metal base that is essential for velocities of 2000 f.s. and upwards to protect the naked base, these metal-based soft lead bullets are splendid.

Forget everything you know about loading jacketed bullets. This is a whole new ball game!
Wish I had found you Bob. I came home Tuesday. Going back Friday for powder magazine duty

Thanks Ric, that is what I wanted to know.
Allen, we were down on the Creedmore line. There wasn't much competition for shooting spots since the weather sucked. I quit shooting because the humidity swelled my paper patches to the point that the bullets pushed through on the way down the bore. I forgot to take my sizing die so I was screwed. Amazingly though I was still ringing the gong but the gun was leading something terrible.
So after we got everything we were looking for we went over to Pete's and visited and enjoyed an adult beverage or two. He had several chuck roasts on that smelled pretty good but we had to get back. It was 2 hours for my Godson and another hour more for me and we both had to work. If we had stayed for supper it would have been the wee hours before we got back.

There have been more than a few late nights at Petes camp Bob. I had plans to discuss next year with the German crew, they want to come to my place to hunt squirrels, apperently it is not allowed in Germany.
One of the best things about Pete and his camp neighbors, Good food, high grade beverages and a wealth of knowlage

Thanks for this info. Really learned a lot.
I got one. About 9 months into building it, but I知 slow and working on it part time. Only one who really had what I was looking for, made the buying process easy too. But I can see the quality issue on the trigger assembly and guard. Barrel and lock are GTG since I sprung for rice and siler. I値l hold on stock till I finish it. I知 not unhappy overall. Might not buy another rifle from sitting fox but again he sells stuff I just dont see elsewhere, so I may buy a novelty from him next time. A 4-bore blunderbuss. You know, for sporting clays.
