PC to bump up a bullet a thou?

Hey guys, so I found out my lee sizers are all .001 small with my wheel weights, after theyve all been coated and sized.

Can I put another coat on them to bump them up and then just let them rip or is that a no no?

The sizers are really easy to hone out. I just use sandpaper and a pencil, but a split dowel is a bit easier.

You can put another coat on them, but a coat usually adds .002" to the diameter. It will probably work, but you can't guarantee that it will be concentric or even that it will be .002" on all of them.

Yeah I'm going to hone the dies, just wondering if I can save what I have already. I did the cut twice measure once.

If you fix your dies, you can certainly recoat them and resize to the perfect size. If you are asking if you can coat twice, the answer is yes.
If you are asking if you can coat twice and then just load/shoot them as-is..... nobody knows until you recoat and measure them.

I just bought a lee sizer that was .0015 to small. I cut a sheet of 600 grit wet/dry in quarters, wrapped 1/4 around a dowel. stuck through the die and rolled it on my leg turning the dowel to keep fresh sandpaper in contact with the die. Check the size often. When you get almost to where you want it switch to 1000 grit wet/dry and polish to the size you want. Like beagle said, coat them again, if to big them resize them in your freshly enlarged sizer.
