    Hey Superfly,
I love the winter in southern MN. No complaining about the cold from me !

Superfly, does the VFW or American Legion, I can't remember which one it was, there in Roseau still have their annual hunting and fishing cook out down in the basement?

Well the air conditioner man came today the unit is toast, no surprise there, he said the unit will be here at the end of the week (next). Forecast 102/100/100/ cools of to 99/and 98. for the next five days. O goodie I think, then I think of the people in Colorado Springs and that will not be so bad.

Keep pouring down water in the hot weather. If you don't have to pee all the time, you aren't drinking enough.
The solid soft lead bullet is undoubtably the best and most satisfactory expanding bullet that has ever been designed. It invariably mushrooms perfectly, and never breaks up. With the metal base that is essential for velocities of 2000 f.s. and upwards to protect the naked base, these metal-based soft lead bullets are splendid.

Forget everything you know about loading jacketed bullets. This is a whole new ball game!

That's exactly right! The color of your urine and the frequency of your passing it is the scale that indicates your level of dehydration. 'Clear & every hour' is the rule.

I was just wondering yesterday when summer was really gonna start here in Oregon's Willamette Vally. Now I don't so much care, I think I'll be happy with the low 70's we've been seeing as a high. I for one say let the ice age come! It's always been easier (and cheaper) for me to warm up than to cool down.
Is this a......what day is this??

103 here today at 3:00 and I've had the A/C on all day in the house with the doors open trying to cool it off outside to do a little casting. Guess I need to get a bigger unit for the house.

In my smelting shop, at 5:30 this afternoon. The thermometer is suspended by a cord, so doesn't touch anything and it's always in the shade.

103 out yesterday but that is normal here.
the problem arose when the evaporator cooler started spitting water onto the motor and caused the smoke to come out of it.
All attempts at getting the smoke back into the motor failed so I had to install a new motor this morning.
    Ahhhhh,,,,,, All is well again.

In the short time I lived out in Desert Hot Springs, ours went out as well.
It started shaking the whole house then quit.
The very next week, I woke up to the house shaking again.
I started cussing that thing for a few the realized it was a 4.6 tremor!
We moved to New York soon after that!

It's not the Heat, it's the stupidity; I mean the Humidity.
If we weren't so stupid we might be inside in front of the air conditioning
    or cooler ducts.

111 degrees just about every day last week. That too is about normal for this time
of year. And it wasn't a "Dry Heat."

It was 93 degrees at midnight a couple of nights ago.
