In my mind I picture a small dab of liquid propellant that quickly solidifies after being applied and stays in place inside the skirt on the flat at the base of the pellet. Like maybe a pinhead sized dab of the smallest sized gun powder granules...

I think that in the long run it's cheaper to just by a 22 rim fire than to go through the process of eventual or inevitably damaging to your air gun but on the other hand, if someone found a safe repeatable recipe for dieseling an air gun it might...

HollowPoint replied to a thread My new rifle in AirGuns
That's a fine looking air rifle. I've found that when shooting the 14.3 grain CPHPs they generally shoot from good to very good. I use them because they're the cheapest to buy. The thing that determines the "Good" as opposed to the "Very Good"...

If the point of the actual drill has an angle anything like a common drill bit you might be able to hose it down with WD40 and remove it the same way one might remove a stuck bullet. With a slightly tapered wooden dowel or even an aluminum rod of...

When I was a kid I worked on ranch that had some billy-goats prone to goring other animals on the farm. Their horns weren't that large or long so what the ranch owner had us do was catch the offending billy-goats and slip a rubber band over their...

HollowPoint replied to a thread 6.5 BlowMore in Factory Rifles
My one and only reloading manual shows the 260, the 6.5 Swede and the 6.5 Creedmoore as having just a few feet per second difference from each other with a 24 inch barrel and those velocities depends on the weight of the bullets they happen to be...

About HollowPoint
I joined as a semi-newbie. Now I've been here long enough to consider myself knowledgeable about bullet casting.

With the help of some of the more experienced bullet casters on this site, I've developed some tools and bullets for my own personal use. Among them are a Soft-Pointing tool, Boat-Tailed Gas Checks and dies, Air Gun Pellet Swager, Match-Grade Air gun Trigger, K31 scope mounts and a few other things I've posted about.

The learning never ends and the ideas keep coming. Unfortunately for me, there isn't enough time in the day to tackle them all.
