Greetings, Gentlemen,
When was the last time you saw one of these being fired?

Boy, I love these old guns.....
Ralph; I wouldn't even know what they are (but who cares), If they were here with me I would also have the itch to shoot them.
From the pic's, they appear to be in next to new condition?
So don't keep us all in suspender's; post some details, pleaseeeeeeee?
John.
Webly?
What? No Pachmyers!
Not Webleys, they look more like those goofy French pistols, Mint condition though. Don't tell us they are repo's.

Greetings, Gentlemen,
The one in the rear is a "Deprez-Joassart", model of 1872, made in Belgium. I have restored it to 100% mechanical soundness. It shoots the 12mm Spirlet cartridge, which I have loaded and fired. As soon as I have my report written, I will post.
The one in the front is an 1860 French "Pidault & Cordier", known
in the U.S. as the Raphael. It fires a strange rimless, internally primed, centerfire cartridge of 11mm. I have restored it to 100%
also. I am developing the cartridges at the present time. When done and fired, I will post complete report. I think you will find it interesting

If shooting, fixing, making and thunking were easy.Everyone would be doing it.

Hi Ralph,
We have talked on Tuco board in the past.
What did you use to blue the pistols? They look wonderful!
Thanks,
broom
Beautiful work, sir! And I thought I messed around with an obscure French caliber, the 7.65 MAS M-1935 pistol. I'm just a piker.
I don't paint bullets. I like Black Rifle Coffee. Sacred cows are always fair game. California is to the United States what Syria is to Russia and North Korea is to China/South Korea/Japan--a Hermit Kingdom detached from the real world and led by delusional maniacs, an economic and social basket case sustained by "foreign" aid so as to not lose military bases.
