My old neighbor knows I use lead, he's a bit of a scrounger. He came across a melting pot an two coffee cans of boolits and sinkers. He sold it to me for $10.
The pot looks like it will hold at least 25-30 lbs.

Yup, that looks like the old style that was designed to fit in the hole of a wood or coal stove. Neat old tool.
Looks like it's got some Pb in it already. Good neighbor.
A friend of mine had one like that and it fit in a wood laundry stove, He hooked up a blower to it and used coal, but it got so hot that later on it fell to pieces with a load of lead in it.
My guess is 25 pounds, maybe 30. I have a 20-pounder that is noticeably smaller in diameter.

One of the most endearing sights in the world is the vision of a naked good-looking woman leaving the bedroom to make breakfast. Bolivar Shagnasty (I believe that Lazarus Long also said it, but I can't find any record of it.)
