Kind of a long shot, but there are no stupid questions.
That's what I was told anyway.
Planing on my next visit to Tennessee.
Clarksville for a few weeks, then Spring hill, then home.
Does anyone know if there is a shuttle or buss that goes from the airport to Clarksville hotels???
Being ~200 miles, I doubt you'll find a shuttle. Big Grey Dog will take between 6-10 hours

Might be quicker/easier to find a shuttle flight from Memphis to Nashville.
Southwest shows a non-stop 65 minute flight for $117

From Nashville, you might be able to, "Take the last train to Clarksville and I'll meet you at the station"

Depending upon when you’re visiting, I could extend some Tennessee hospitality and give you a ride from the Nashville airport to Clarksville.

Rent a car a Nashville airport? Do you need transportation to Springhill and back to the airport? Maybe more convenient in the long run. I would hate to be stranded in either of those places without a way around. The night life in Nashville would be calling me at least twice in 2 weeks.
Another thing I want to do on my next visit, is to see if I can drive there.
Ya'll drive way faster than we do here, and I don't want to be a moving hazard.
I was thinking about renting a car from the airport, but it's a long drive, and don't want to get lost.
But that just night be the best plan.
I'm itching to get back there.
Miss the food and the people.
Travel math says it's 49 miles, and the map looks like it's almost a straight line from city to city form the airport maybe more complicated. I think you are worrying too much
Call the hotels and ask them.

Forget everything you know about loading jacketed bullets. This is a whole new ball game!
If you've got a "smart phone" there are programs that will give you turn by turn directions from point A to point B. Including rerouting you if there are traffic accidents or construction.
Waze is the one both my wife and daughter swear by(not at!).
Although it did lead us into an Amish farm yard once. I think they were as confused as we were.
If you don't have a smart phone, it's probably time to consider one. Especially if you are going to be traveling. It is easy to ask for restaurant recommendations. It has put me into some incredibly good neighborhood type restaurants.
Two weeks ago my daughter and I came off the ferry in Manitowoc at lunch time, in two minutes she had us pointed to an absolute throw back to a 1950's diner. $3.50 for two piece broasted chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy, coleslaw and fresh baked on-site bread. Kind of joint. About a third the price of KFC and 4 times as good.
At times I'm a Luddite, I work hard to keep my data private, but on the same trip she found a 80 year old Serbian restaurant that served absolutely cooked to order dinners. Some reasonably priced, the whole suckling pig was a bit above my pay grade. I've been in this Milwaukee neighborhood probably a dozen times and eaten an a number of different bars and restaurants within a 1000 feet of this place and not a clue it was there.
I'm a big fan of museums, smart phones will lead you to some incredibly offbeat places, The Mustard Museum, Snowmobile Museum, Ivory carving Museum. Car, plane and train museums galore.
Being old school, and no so computer smart, I don't have a smart phone.
But I do have a flip phone.
Just found that it can text, but I'll never text.
I don't even answer it.

I'm old school and still use a Tom tom.

The other day I had a good yacking with my friend in Clarksville.
Sure had a good time just talking.
He was having problems with reloading for a new rifle.
Really want to go back for a visit, and a recharge.

My first exposure to the computerized direction was about 17 years ago, my wife and I were on vacation in South Carolina with a rental car that had an on-board navigation system, we were out 30-40 miles south of Charleston and a pair of Stearman's cruised overhead, I immediately started following them on back roads, that navigation system never caught back up to me before we wandered back into Charleston and the hotel. Had zero use for them for years and for the most part still don't. I can generally find my way across most mid-west states by paying attention to the sun and an occasional glance at a paper map.
The new ones will have recalculated a new route within a 1/4 mile if you deviate from the route it laid out. And continue to recalculate with every butterfly you chase as you a wandering down the road.
I've got a bad habit of wandering off the beaten trail because I saw a glimpse of something a 1/4 mile of the expressway. Weirdness that interests me.
Like hit or miss powered oil wells.
Hand cranked hit or miss engines, yes I stopped and wandered out into some guy's bean field just to look at a hundred year old engine pumping oil.
Old farm equipment. I'll stop at every Massey Harris 80-SP I see, first combine I ran more years ago than I care to admit to. I've seen two over the years. One east of Seattle on a back road and one about 15 miles from my house. The second combine I ran is/was so common I watched almost a dozen get destroyed in a Combine Demolition Derby Sunday evening.
Old cars, boats, cool old buildings are all fair game. Or just the photo that is just to good to pass by, the combination flea market and baptist church. Buy your dented coffee pot on Tuesday, get saved on Sunday. Or the big Sylvia's catering sign with accepting new patients as the bottom half.

The newer navigation systems lets me wander as much as I want and when the wife has had enough, it provides me with the shortest route to marital bliss(the hotel and supper....).
And the camera feature is not to overlooked. It's always in your pocket and with a little practice you can take some pretty amazing photos. At the club virtually every one of my buddies has one now and the photos that get passed around are phenomenal. The 12" perch is really a 12" perch. The 10 point rack is real because you can count them for yourself. The snow owl, the hen and rooster pheasant. The beaver in the road in an area that hasn't seen a beaver in a hundred years. The seven eagles perched in a dead elm tree.
I also like old stuff.
Cars, trucks, machinery, tools, of course firearms, just about anything old.
My Tom tom is great.
It tells me what lane to get in, if I miss the road, it gives me a new route, use it all the time when picking up craigs list finds.
I have tried a smart phone a few times.
Just don't like using them.
My old flip phone works just fine for me.
If your in Tennessee, visit Dixie Gunworks.
They have a good museum, with old engines, cars, trucks, hand tools, and some firearm tools.
First time I've even seen a barrel rifling jig.
People there are so friendly and helpful.
