Like all the above, I'd look into White Label. Also, Ed's Red is good for just about everything and is easy to make.

Plus they make the best foot cream I have ever used.
I do have a lifetime of LBT Blue left.
Had I known what was coming I would have stockpiled all I could afford but the fire was unexpected and Veral's death though not totally unexpected was devastating to any chances of ever acquiring any more Soft Blue. Strangely enough , I know several who are sitting on large amounts of it that they have no plans to ever use again but they won't sell it either. Several that have gone to powder coat completely and claim they will never lube another bullet. I offered to buy what they were not going to use and they wouldn't sell it.

I cast with range scrap and odds and ends of lead from friends. Nothing sophisticated. My homemade tumble lube is just hoarded Johnson’s Paste Wax thinned with mineral spirits. Or MinWax. For pistol bullets =/- 1000 fps. I doubt it would work on rifle bullets. But it does work on my pistol loads and is very low tech. Only takes a plastic peanut butter jar and a cake pan. I like the simplicity. (Cowboys and mountain men might not have used peanut butter jars.)

    (Lard IS rendered pork fat.)

I did get some of white labels blue lube. I ran out of LBT some time ago so can't compare directly, but the White Label blue seems pretty close to LBT and maybe just a little bit thicker, i.e. needs some heat to flow. I've been using white label lubes for years (decades really) I stopped making my own lubes as its just not worth the effort when you can get quality lubes from White Label as such a reasonable cost
