Shot two boxes of them two hours ago and with my memory, I think it was something like YTR.

One full box of the WWII powder, one box of the current 296, the WWII score was better than the new stuff, but I attribute that more to the screw loose behind the trigger than the powder.

But don't bet the farm on it. I'll look when I go out to the shed for a whiff of oxygen to help with this canadian smoke, but I wouldn't bet I'll remember the next time either........

Haha, so you're saying recalling the headstamp is similar to why I went to the other room. The mystery for the moment.

I feel your pain brother! We moved from a 4 bedroom, 1 bathroom house in Illinois to a 1 bedroom, loft and three bathrooms in Arkansas after I retired! Funny how bathrooms are more important than bedroom when you get older�� we have a lot of boxes and furniture that we’re sorting through. I also lost my 2 1/2 stall garage-man cave where I did my reloading! On the other hand I gained a log cabin with almost 7 acres near the white river……and live in a FREE state. I’m planning whether to make my loft into a reloading room/fly tying man cave or try to get my two stall garage insulated and climate controlled. Good news is my Lyman 505 scale I bought on EBay arrive today! It looks unused with manual in original box…not bad for a little over $50 shipped….got a small digital one but I trust a beam scale more!

Well recently I continued the work in my reloading room in my shop it’s all walled in isolated and boarded with the door hung also recently got a text from my cousin and his neighbour gave me a 10# keg of CIL C-300 and 1# can Herco smokeless shotgun powder for free both look and smell fine still also at the club shoot the other weekend the same guy who gave me 3 pigs of lynotype brought all his stuff left from his reloading room told us if we don’t take it, it’s going to the dump so me and a friend vultured in and picked it over good got some powder 4227 and some rcbs 44mag dies a bunch of boxes for reloads and a 428 and 429 lubesizing dies some reloading books and some alread cast bullets and 30+# of lead Here are some pics

Love the cans the powder is in. All those old metal ones are just cool to me. If you plan to toss them out, please don't.

Someone threw an empty metal powder keg into the dumpster at our range, I climbed in after it. It makes a nice addition to the bookshelf.

I recently bought a Ruger Security 9 for sort of a utility /truck-tractor gun. I cleaned and lubed it before shooting. Had a round stop on the feed ramp first thing but after that it ran several clips. Does great with my reloads also. It is not super accurate but it is good enough.

I have a bunch of Norinco 9mm ammo that I inherited from my Dad. The stuff is hot as a firecracker, over a 100 fps faster than the Blazer ammo. I pulled the bullet from about a 100 rounds, resized the cases with a lower charge. The powder charge was 5.5 grains so I reduced it to 4.2 after shooting a few rounds at different levels. It is now very close to the Blazer. It shoots a bit high but runs the pistol fine.

I din't care for the Norinco because it is uncomfortable to shoot. I also shoot it in my Blackhawk convertable as is. I can spend an hour and a half on a 100 rounds and save buying a 100 for $25 that shoot no better.

Odd looking powder, reminds me of the sand you buy for a kids sandbox, fine and dark tan. It does run good through an old Herter's and measures very accurately.

Been enjoying the site here - some GREAT information. With that being said - I did manage to get some 45 ACP loaded up (not much - 20 or so rounds until I know they work) - I went thru all of my gifted projos and managed some 9mm wadecutters. I did some 38 spl today with some 158 Berry's Flat points and round nose, these are 38 special only 3.6 gr of No.2 - looked like a good place to start. Going to work some 357 and 44 mag tomorrow. Brass is ready to go, mostly. Alot of lower velocity stuff with the cast, until I know I am doing all of this, the right way.

How about 1-1/8oz shot x 7.5size @ 1145feet per second. And yes, it is a secret trap load. I don't think anyone else knows about them.

I did try them the other day. They didn't work out as well as they should have!
Had to be the shells!

Not in the reloading room, but under the car port, melted 70-80 # of pure lead (sheet, pipe & roof vents) into nice little ingots.

Finished loading 200 rounds of .44-40 with 200 grain LFN bullets and Trail Boss. Loaded 100 rounds of 9x18mm Makarov with some 93 grain LRN bullets I had and Unique powder.

Saturday I cranked out 500 rounds of 9mm on the Pro 6000 using my new 3D printed automatic bullet and case collators, as well as a couple of hundred rounds of .223 on the Lee classic turret press. Then got the turret a new turret plate setup with new 40s&w dies to prep for loading a couple hundred of those. Also ordered a replacement LCD for the local reloading shop owner's laptop. Trading that repair for a few pounds of powder, which works out well since I used up the last of my AA#2 on the 9mm and have no powder left for the 40s&w. Wanted to get a range day trip in, but wasn't feeling well in the afternoon, started running a fever, and was down the rest of the weekend. On top of that, it decided to storm Saturday evening and a good part of Sunday.

Trying to decide on a 10mm or .40 Super for a carry gun for a northern Montana trip. Took both to the range Saturday. Seriously considering the .40 in a Glock 21 conversion. Ran factory 180 gr. FMJ through the 10mm (still breaking it in) and it did fine with no hiccups. Ran handloads (180 gr PC hardcast over 14.5 gr AA#9) through the Glock and all ran just fine. Both had some recoil but that's to be expected. Reloaded the .40 brass last night. About half is Starline Super brass (with small primer pockets) and the other half converted .45 Win Mag (with LP primers). The .45 brass that was fired showed no abnormal primer indications but did show a small dent in the shoulder from ejection whereas the Starline brass did not have a dent. More to come...
