HELP! Powder melted to plastic in powder measure.

    Rough day today!

I waited the better part of this year for my replacement FA Intelidropper, after 4 dead gen 1's they sent me a gen 2 finally, which by the way is fantastic compared to the old unit, and hopefully lasts better and longer.

My problem is this; I was measuring loads of Vhita Vouri 10B101 flake powder and had roughly 1/2 pound in the hopper, in retrospect I very foolishly left it for a few days before emptying it out. Emptying wasn't going so well out the dump tube, so I disconnected the power cord to dump the powder out of the tip of the hopper, thats when I found out the powder actually melted into the surface of both the clear hopper and the gray plastic body where the delivery tube and dump tube is, horror!

I scraped as much off as possible with my fingernails, but what's left is basically fused into the plastic, has anyone else had this happen? If so, any idea's on how to remove it and repair the damage?

Any help will be greatly appreciated!

    Jeff

Never leave a double-base powder in a plastic hopper.

I had sent an email with pics to FA asking for advice, they are shipping me a replacement unit, amazing customer service!

Once the new one arrives I won't repeat this mistake.

The Lyman reloading manuals and the instructions that came with the Lyman 55 measure , all warned about the chemical reactions and how you should NOT leave powder in your measure ... 1967 was the year ... looks like the warning is still valid ... I took Lyman's warning to heart and Never leave powder in any measure .
Thanks for the confirmation to those warning's !

It's common. I car waxed the insides of my hoppers years ago.. some sticks..but comes right off if you run a business card around it.
