    What is this in mold?

Anyone know what these dark inclusions are on my MP mold? Only my second time using it. I have 3 others and don’t see it on any of them.

Looks like slag that made into the brass extrusion.

Is there any way to remove it and are there any negative effects?

Something got on it or its leftover coolant. Try a pencil eraser.

Notwithstanding the possibility of getting rid of the imperfections, the two in the grease grooves
won't make any difference at all in shooting, and the slight (what appears to be a) void in the
base ring will be ironed out in sizing.

Not to worry.... from a practical POV.
