Does anyone know the origins of Alox? What was it used for and in what industries?

It is a calcium soap used as a rust inhibiting additive for waxes, oils and grasses. Common in automotive undercoatings such as Ziebart and for lubricating marine winches and other decktop equipment directly exposed to salt spray. An ingredient in Cosmolene.

Texaco Taurak 250—An industrial grease once sold as Hawkeye Lube by NEI and sometimes used as
an ingredient in other lubes.

GONRA's pretty sure the origin of "ALOX" dates waaaaaay back
to the orginal 1960's ??? American Rifleman article.
At that time, gotta large (gallon?) can of ALOX 2138F.
Never upgemixed it with bees wax per AR recipe.

Just use it "straight" in my lube sizer for auto pistol cartridges
where the lube groove(s) are generally INSIDE the cartridge case.

Easy to use, shoots great!
