M95 Steyr Single Load Device (S.L.E.D.)

Became the guinea pig for the plastic M95 Single Load Devices being sold on the bay.
I'm happy to report it works as advertised.
It is solid and slips right into place like a loaded clip. Rounds placed on the indentation fed smoothly and were picked up by the extractor in a controlled feed as intended.
The latch held the SLED firmly and when the latch is pushed, it flies out with authority, as in don't be looking down at it or it'll poke your eye out on it's way across the room. My rifle was overhauled and put in cosmoline until I got it, some may not have such healthy springs.
I'd imagine the Carcano, GEW 88, and other Mannlicher Clip type rifles might work as well.
Here's photos of the SLED and loading an inert dummy round.

Very interesting ! The original clips must be made of gold based on the asking prices.

I bought the old ww2 ammo on the clips , shot some and some are still put up , just looked at flea buyers and see the insane prices on a pair of clips , your sled device is cheaper and am glad it works for you .

I have clips that came in the surplus two clip ammo packs. This device is just convenient when at the range. Maybe for slow fire if I take it to our surplus rifle shoots.

I bought one earlier this year, seemed to work well during testing in the shed when there was snow on the ground, I haven't made it to the range to give it a real world test.

I also bought one of the 6.5 Carcano versions, need to get to the range with that one also.
