I know Beartooth Bullets used to sell kits/bullets, but they seem to be closed. Does anyone know anyone that does sell any?
Thanks

All they are is soft alloy cast Lead.
Put 'want to buy' on the S&S page for a few of what caliber you need.

Years ago I bought a Kit from Midway.
It is nothing more than a flat pieces of steel and some jars of polishing compound.
So far it has worked great on all the calibers I have done.
I have used it on both Jacketed Bullets and Lead Cast Boolits.
With the proper grit rolled in to the surface of the bullet.
I remember that you could buy the lapping compound from Brownells or NECO (neconos.com).
I have used glass plates to roll the grit into the soft cast bullet. (I cast my own, BHN ~5).
Just search "fire lapping kit" on your browser (not this site) to get a source.
Any bullet will do. I've rolled jacketed bullets between two flat steel plates w/ grit, chambered and fired. Worked for me.
IIRC - NECO still sells the abrasives and may have kits too.
If you are going to make a hole in something. MAKE IT A BIG ONE!
Here's the NECO kit

In the old days, when fire lapping was the craze,
everybody just rubbed the grit or jeweler's rouge on the loaded round they were going to use.
Back in the late 80s or so, that's how I did it for my Goldcup.
I got ahold of some fine diamond dust compound from a Engineer buddy, and thinned it out with a little grease.
I shot 4-5 of them loaded so slow you could see them fly out. It still looks like a mirror in the barrel.

IIRC LBT used to sell fire lap compound and cast bullets to imbed with lapping compound.
Thanks everybody.
I’m “needing” a few things from midway so might give their kit a try.
It’s 3 different grits and the plates for $48, doesn’t seem too bad.
