Why yes, I am envious, I wanted a Mountain Gun pretty badly when they first came out. Unfortunately, money was not easy to come by and by the time I finally managed to scrape togetether the requisite funds, they were not to be had.

Just won an auctioned Smith 686-4 a few days ago...looking fwd to giving it a work out on our home range here on the farm. It's due in Monday and we have house guests starting Wednesday...the guy's a shooter, so I might be able to get some range time on the lower meadow while they're here....Hope lies eternal!! Best Regards, Rod

Actually the P225 came first. So the P228 would be a fat or double stack P225.
    I HATE auto-correct

Happiness is a Warm GUN & more ammo to shoot in it.

In 1963 I was an 18 year old with the cowboy bug. Bought a Hy Hunter revolver and practiced fast-draw in front of a mirror. Last week, at a local gun show, I found this jewel. Hawes, as new in the box and I believe unfired. Had to have it. But my fast-draw days are over.

Got another 2 1877 Colts today. Both need a lot of love and at least a bottle of good bourbon to sit down and get back to good!

Ruger No 1 in 9.3X74R. Recoil and factory loads where not as bad as I thought it would be. Have acquired everything except a bullet mold/sizing dies to reload for it. Need to slug the bore.

S&W 14-4 waiting for it to be sent to my dealer.

Nice to shot with 31grs of VV N110 behind the 240grs XTP.
350grs NOE Hardcasts will be made after becoming the mold here in Europe.
On the picture with his little sister LCP, my edc pistol for hunting (it’s named Fangschusspistole here, to get the „final shot“ at hunting)
