Hello BFJ,
I have 1975 listed as first year of the Mountain Rifles, Flinter's introduced in 1978.
I never said the CVA's were embarrassing,
just the cheap looking two piece stock on the Kentucky Rifle (but it did shoot).
I had a Thompson Center Hawken and a CVA Frontier Rifle back in the day,
I could always shoot better targets with the Frontier Rifle.
I wish I would have kept that old Rifle,
currently I still have three CVA long guns.
