I would say yes unless you are shooting 20,000 cartridges

While you're tooled up, just make a 2nd FP against any future issues.

Some designs use the firing pin as an ejector as well( Davis)- so don’t dry fire them. You didn’t say what make you have.
I have made many trapdoor firing pins out of stainless . never had a come back.
It might hold up for awhile but, may have to be heat treated.
