Now I lay me down to sleep
A gun beside me is what I keep
If I awake, and you're inside
The coroner's van is your next ride
Less informative and far sketchier on the technical whys and wherefores than our "sticky".
Seems as if author didn't really understand either and it was a case of the ignorant leading the blind...

Keep it to yourself.
The perfect fitment for all centerfire revolver calibers is boolit sized .001" to .002" greater than groove diameter, cylinder throats sized .0005" to .001" greater than boolit diameter.

K.I.S.S. has worked for me for about 30 years; size bullets the same diameter as the cylinder throats...

BINGO!

In revolver its almost more important to get the cyl throats right. Does little good to go 0.001" over groove dia then have throats 0.001" smaller than groove dia.

This only works if the throats aren't already too small.
What are you going to do if you cast, size and lube a batch of boolits sized to the throats, then they sit for a year and suddenly the ammo won't chamber because the boolits have gained .0003" as they age hardened?
Ruger single action revolvers are notorious for uneven throat diameters. Can't size to uneven throats. Well, you *could* but that certainly flies in the face of the K.I.S.S. ideology.
There are good reasons why the arrangement I mentioned is near perfect for a revolver.
