IT AINT what ya shoot--its how ya shoot it. NONE of us are as smart as ALL of us! The more I travel, the more I like right where I am.
Batches of 50-70 and 43 Spanish boolits.
I cast a bunch of Lyman 358-477 150gr. and 358-429 170gr. and Lee 105gr. SWC .358s. Going through the process of lubesizing them now.
You can miss fast & you can miss a lot, but only hits count.
Today was 30 caliber day, with something a bit over a thousand boolits destined to end up in my 30-06. I did Lee soup cans, Lee 150 grain RNFP, and a Noe copy of the RCBS 180 grain flat nose that came in at 194 grains unlubed and unchecked.
One more day of casting for 35 caliber and I will be hanging up the casting gear for at least through the summer.
When you care enough to send the very best, send an ounce of lead.
Beautiful work Grmps...you gonna glue fins on those missiles?

Cast some 358156's for a loan officer of my acquaintance - sized & loobed, but had to be careful to really squeeze the handles, else the blocks sprung apart, to the extent that I would get fins on the boolits. THOSE were the obvious ones - the ones with no fins not so much, but weighed a few grains heavier. A pain.. may put that 4-banger on ebay... Here's a sample...

One of the most endearing sights in the world is the vision of a naked good-looking woman leaving the bedroom to make breakfast. Bolivar Shagnasty (I believe that Lazarus Long also said it, but I can't find any record of it.)
And those are mine...
452460, about 300 of them. Second time using a non aluminum mold. After the last sessions rounded bands I turned up the pid to 750 from 700 and found better fill out. Found that this mold also prefers head pressure so need to stay above 1/3 pot. Also found it to not be a big deal to lightly oil the mold after each session and clean before each casting.Attachment 216411

Cast a few hundred each of NOE 453-200's, Accurate 40-180C's and Lee 452-255's. Cast the NOE boolits because I needed practice ammo for my carry gun, the Accurate 38WCF boolits in memory of John Kort and I have no idea why I cast the Lee 45 Colt boolits.
