Thanks to the information and tips from this forum, my first casting session was a success. Only 2 out of 60 bullets went back into pot.

Plan to put some of them, down range tomorrow.

I just cast about 20lbs of bullets probley had at least a 100 to go back in the pot and needed to put more in that were wrinkled but the paper won't know how bad they look.

Cast load test shoot repeat. I started something new this year any night the Bruins play the "casting shop" is open. I've had a pile of fun and been able to help several young fellows learn the ropes. I wish you all the best and hope you become as addicted as the rest of us have!

It's a pretty good feeling eh 45 scott? I just did a first casting lastnight and enjoyed it very much. I think the icing on the cake was a pile of boolits sitting in front of you knowing you produced them

Range session went great, found that 8.0 gr of unique was a comfortable load to shoot and didnt have any problems. And to be honest, it was a "hoot"! I'm addicted.....oh well

Glad all went well at the range, now you know you need to cast some more...get some practice in so you can go practice...you know.

Working on some ideas for a bullet trap next, see if i can salvage some lead.
