You don't reveal many details about the rifle. To answer your questions , one would have to know a lot more about the rifle.

I don't know about you. But if it was me, Cabella's aka Bass Pro would get no more of my money, ever, for anything. Go find yourself an online seller who won't ask stupid questions. And probably save some cash to boot. Best of luck to ya! ...

A cast boolit 1-4 thousands over will squish under pressure and make a nice tight fit with a good grasp of the rifling. Undersized or same sized bullets often keyhole, have terrible accuracy. A larger boolit has more options than a smaller...

Years ago the “oil rack” was out back of the gas station. Once they finished the oil change they would coat with used motor oil (by spraying) the underside of your vehicle if ask. It worked well. The GOV stopped that practice in late 60’s / early...

Cosmoline is very effective as well as resilient when used correctly. Properly applied and protected it will last indefinitely as witness by the condition of surplus guns being sold now which were rebuilt then preserved during or after a war. ...

I saw something on TV at least 8 to 10 years ago. On one side was a modern 1/4 mile drag racer. On the other was a car powered by old recycled cell phone battery's. It left the dragster at the start like it was standing still. And with a huge...

Best week of my life was some 6.5 miles south of Deadwood. Camped out in a tent in a little campground. Little clear cold stream some 15 feet from the tent. Sheltered from the afternoon sun by a couple of big pines. NE Corner of SD is not bad if...

For a period of time I rebuilt (catapult) water brakes, spears, grabs, shuttles, and strip guides for Naval Inventory Control Point (NAVICP). Preservation and packaging was more important than the part itself. Cosmoline was alway specified for raw...

Actually I expected the better quality guns to be near2k$. There are some lower cost options. Tempting. But I don't like that about no returns.

Red Dot is fairly dense, does NOT take up a lot of space like Trailboss. That being said, I have shot the .444marlin in a handi rifle single shot with as low as 6.5 grains of Red Dot under 200 gr cast. Essentially a moderate level .44mag load in...
