Who has sent some down range ? ? ?
Ben
Taking forever to get my wax from Amazon.
I did wonder what a measure or 2 of Dextron III ATF would do to this.
GhostHawk
Would most likely hinder and / or totally prevent the drying , which is impt.
It is yours, but.....I would not recommend it.

Ben,
In a lever gun, the nose of the bullet can hang up on its way to the chamber, resulting in failures to cycle and shooter headaches. Wouldn't the slick surface provided by your mix help this? Couldn't hurt!
A question: I assume that the petroleum in the components will make it unsuitable when shooting Black Powder?
Bill
I would not think it good for black.
If the nose of the bullet hangs consistently and causes feeding problems , my mix may not help a thing ? ?

Ben I would like to know what powder you are using in your 38/357?
Thanks Fox Pass
Picked up a bottle of Johnson's liquid this morning, and it's on the project list.
Curious to see to what degree it locks down the Ben's Red that's already in the grooves. This might be the answer the guys with the automatic bullet feeding presses are looking for.
WWJMBD?
In the Land of Oz, we cast with wheel weight and 2% Tin, Man.
Can thick Johnson's paste wax be thinned with mineral spirits?
Ok my bottle of Johnson's wax finally arrived.
How do you guys get the alox out of those little bottles?
I ended up squishing out as much as I could by hand then pouring wax on it and shaking well to disolve.
I ended up with something that "looks" like Ben's Brown or LL. Certainly does seem to put a nice smooth coat on.
Also are you guys drying these on their bases or noses?
I set the bottle in a cup of very hot water for 10 minutes. It becomes very liquid.

Pour mixture in Dixie paper cup (I cut cup shorter with scissors), then dip each bullet and rest lubed bullet nose up on wax paper. I move bullets around about three times until puddling around bases stops.
I put a lead bullet in bottle to help mix better when shaking.
Jwax, an auto product of decades ago had wipes impregnated with what seems to be identical to the liquid floor wax. If it doesn't work mixed with alox, I'm betting it will work on my Silverado.
Ben, just mixed up a bottle of the lube. I cast a bunch of Keith bullets this weekend and lubed about 300 with the lube. I will try to make it to the range this week and confirm your findings as I have no doubt that it will work...and it is definitely a breeze to make.
Also, I am really impressed with how evenly it covers and how clean the bullets look.
