    Lee Tumble Molds

I have a question concerning the Lee Tumble Molds. I made up a bunch of bullets tumbled lubed them in a Lee Alox mix. I then sized them to .452 using a Lee sizing die. How many of you tumble lube the bullets again? Or, is that just an unnecessary step?

    Thanks for you replies,

    Alan

Lube-size-lube (a lot of lube gets scraped off in the Lee sizing die, just where you'll need lube the most).

+1 on that. Lube--size--lube again. You might want to mix up some Recluse lube as it dries in about 20-30 minutes. Recluse lube is 45% Lee Liquid Alox, 45% Johnson's Paste Wax and 10% mineral spirits. You'll have to reduce the JPW to about half of its volume. I use that for my tumble lube for my pistol calibers. Take the Recluse lube and mix with equal amounts of bee's wax and it will make rifle lube. You can't tell it from the RCBS rifle lube. Works great. BC

I use the Recluse lube but give it 2 coating's then load and fire out of my 45 Win Mag/M1 Carbine conversion.
It has a 19 inch barrel and so far no leading after 1200+ rds. thru it.

You can also simply squirt a tiny bit of oderless mineral spirits into the bucket of sized boolits and tumble again. Just enough to make them "damp". There's so much lube everywhere else on the boolit that just spreading it around again is enough. Just don't squirt too much or the lube will get too runny and pool at the bottom of the boolit.
