Started the New Year off right

Loaded up the FA tumbler around 2am. Ran it overnight (outside). Rinse, sort and rack after breakfast. Mother Nature is drying them now.
Call me superstitious but starting the year with a batch of deprimed brass in the cleaner just seemed like the right thing to do.

Must be a thing. I washed a few hundred 45-70s last night and am processing 223, and 350legend today. Happy new year folks.

I went to the range today. Rang some steel out to 300 yards with my Savage .223. Now the brass is in the tumbler. Had the range to myself. I guess no one wanted to play in the rain. Some one decided to paint some of the gongs black. I got to make use of the lighted reticle.

No shooting, shoveled 8" of snow off driveway and sidewalks. Finally winter in Denver!

Had 6" of snow to shovel this morning over on the Western slope. At least I don't live in crested Butte, think they got around 85" of snow the past 7 days.

PC'd some 45 Colt Bullets I cast yesterday. Cleaned my casting pot and am ready for some more casting tomorrow.

We had rain yesterday and more today. My gf's kids and grandkids came over yesterday. She gave her 11yo grandson a bb gun. Knew it was gonna rain so rigged up soda cans on a wire and strung them across our front porch. He had a blast and I think his Father did also. Kinda range time. I tried one shot but it is a kids model that looks like a Henry goldenboy.

I have been processing 223 brass this entire time of extreme shortage. My time on paper has dwindled to virtually zero and all my shooting has been on meat or fur.
