A target hanging loose, without a backer, will also give that kind of hole in the paper.
Hope this helps.

Welcome to the forum.
I would contact Redding, the owner of the Saeco product line: https://www.redding-reloading.com/
Hope this helps.

I try really hard to not give bad advice.......:drinks:

If you use 20-40 grit corn cob, it won't stick in the cases or the flash holes. It's very, very fine and provides a high luster when combined with brass polish, but don't use anything with ammonia...

If your Saeco looks like this, then the current top punches and dies will fit:

Are you using plain media, or adding a polish? I use Berry's Case Polish for my tumblers, but other manufacturers market their own brands. My cases come out shiny bright.

Perhaps the video on their page will help you: https://www.magmaengineering.com/magma-star-lube-sizer/
Page 4 of the instruction manual also has a drawing showing how to adjust the top punch: ...
Once in a while you can get them out with a bore brush, but not often. I've had to pour Cerrosafe into the stuck half of the case and then push it out with a brass rod. That really wouldn't work in...

That's correct. Maybe sometime this winter I'll get them out and see if I can make something usable with them.
Hope this helps.

A lot of what Magma buys is from Grainger. The trick is to know which things they buy from them.
Hope this helps.

It was Hornady who made the knurled HBWC bullets. They used a dry lube, or covered the bullets in a fine powder after lubing.
I bought the Herter's die as a novelty, not to really hope for good...
A lot of brass and ammunition is made in "runs", which means it may be made only once a year, or so, depending on popularity. The manufacturers only have so many case forming machines, so they make...

The actual swaging part of the die is in two parts, split down the middle. Visualize cupping your two hands together, finger tips to finger tips, like in praying. The actual bullet would be formed...

That's correct. I take an already sized and lubed bullet and run it into a regular smooth sided swaging die, which is actually designed for making jacketed bullets, hence no lube grooves.
When...

I've been reforming cast bullets in swaging dies for quite some time. As long as they're lubed first, the lube will pretty much stay in place and hold the lube groove open and the bullet remains...

Like I said, I haven't used this die set, but in looking at it, you'd pretty much have to have uniform cores. In this case, I'd say 148 gr. cores, but that's just a guess, since that's what we shot...

Herters used to make a die for swaging bullets with a grease groove and crimp groove. The actual forming part of the die is in two pieces, split down the long length. Visualize two halves of a mold...
Yep, back when I was shooting PPC on a regular basis. Brass fatigue is what it is. When this happens, it normally occurs at a cannelure in the case, but not always.
There are several ways to...

Glad I was able to help. Keep in mind that the ram isn't hardened steel, so it can deform when swaging. I mashed mine swaging .429" bullets from .40 S&W cases and cast pure lead bullets for cores. ...

If you call RCBS directly, they will most likely send you a new ram, but they'll need to know the exact diameter of the ram you have now.
There is also a fix for the squashed shell holder slot. ...

The same reset procedure works on the RCBS portable scale (battery operated), which was made by PACT.
Hope this helps.

That wouldn't work, since there's a pretty hard and fast rule against "discussion" in Swappin & Sellin (S&S), which is meant to keep chatter and clutter out of the WTS and WTB ads. Moderators have...

Please don't make any offers to buy these in this thread. re: TOS#1. The OP will list them in S&S once he establishes a value.
