I have a wall tent, and a bell backed wedge tent.
The solid soft lead bullet is undoubtably the best and most satisfactory expanding bullet that has ever been designed. It invariably mushrooms perfectly, and never breaks up. With the metal base that is essential for velocities of 2000 f.s. and upwards to protect the naked base, these metal-based soft lead bullets are splendid.

Forget everything you know about loading jacketed bullets. This is a whole new ball game!
We use a 10x 12 wall tent with a Simms stove when its needed. Bought a steel frame for it years ago, really like that, makes the tent very wind resistant.
Winter camp, and elk camp, Great Bear Wilderness.

I'm no expert on wall tents but, ........... I did stay at a Holiday Inn.

About the same set up as Waksupi's. Stayed in it at 17 below zero one winter.
We make one every year from blue tarps and saplings at camp. Cost $30, the feeling of not being a yupee cowpoke...priceless!
Lotta people die in bed: Dangerous place to be!
Been hunting and camping in them for over 20 years. Use to build the external frames but finally broke down and built an internal frame for them.
This pic is from a week long elk hunt last year in mid Nov. The wind gusted at a steady 60 mph for 3 days and the tent stayed put, thought we were going have to chase it to Saskatchewan a couple of times.
I'd mentioned a bell back wedge tent. Here is one on the left, down at Ft. Conah this spring.

Besides numerous GM small, mediums and larges along with the artic squad tent I've hunted from this one during elk season in NE Oregon. I prefer my 5th wheel trailor with 3 slideouts these days.

My wife Tammy spent many hours searching for deals on wall tents. The tent we settled on came from Midwest Tent, Bag and Canvas ( http://midwesttent.com ). It is a 10' X 10' w/5' walls, 13 oz water repellent canvas, no floor... $229 new. The tent astounded me when it arrived, way nicer than I expected for that price. They also sell the same canvas, 60" wide, $4.85 per yard which is the cheapest price we could find.
We'll be using it at the 2 Rivers Rendezvous in Libby, Mt. in a couple weeks, I'll try to get some pics then.
I'm looking forward to Waksupi's honest opinion after he checks it out. I'm pretty confident he will agree...
Tammy done good!

I have a 10x12 made by idaho wall tent. Was supose to be a 8x10 but they messed it up and we split the cost difference. Use a 3 dog stove in there. First one cracked during the midwest telefest, Don made it right on his dime. I don't think I have any pictures off hand. Slept in it to -10 during the telemark convention. Had to fire up the stove a couple times because the one girl was new to winter camping and got chilled. Had planned on using it for a lot of hand hauled sled style camping. A little too heavy and bulky for that so we mostly car camp with it. Some day I'll have a nice light weight snow walker tent.
Some where between here and there.....
I use a 10x10 wall tent. Not a bad deal for $20 from a neighbor. I need to look into the Kifaru tee pee. Light weight and cheaper than a wall.
I'll get some up of the 14 X 16 Elk Hunting Tent and throw in some pack saddle pics when I get some done.

Here's Duke burnin in our tent stove from Davis Tent.
You gotta burn the stinky paint off before you use em.
This is the largest cylinder stove they make. The larger one Duke says hold more wood for those longer cold nights.
Mournin and it's all done. ;D
Shown here with the warming tray.

I'm working on a Redwood Chuck Box for all the cooking gear for outside cooking. Unless I take the other tent as a cook shack.
