    2500gr Bullet @ 2400FPS: 950 JDJ FAT MAC

This guy loves big bore rifles and I think he finally met his match. Round is based on the 20mm Vulcan rotary cannon round. Recoil looks brutally insane from a 50lb rifle. Ouch!

Isn't he the guy who had the .50 cal failure a few yr back that actually cut his jugular artery? Survived by holding his hand on wound while his Dad drove to hospital?

Even in my young 'n dumb days I wouldn't have tried that.

Finally got to see someone actually shoot something. Generally all they show is the range idiot getting punched around. Still hoping to see something like a 350 Chevy block rolling down range GW

I'd have lined up a row of 4" solid concrete blocks and see how many it busted.

Yes he did have a massive overpressure event with a Serbu 50 BMG. He purchased the ammunition (50 BMG SLAP rounds).
I first thought like you, then realized that it could happen to anyone! I don't actually enjoy his content that much, but I do respect his opinions and also his knowledge.

He's best watched with the sound turned off.

Outside of massaging a super ego, I don't see any benefit at all. But if he is having fun belting himself around, more power to him. But I pass. james

I skipped through just to see it fire. The guy is downright unwatchable for me.

Don, I worked up a load for a friend to take to Africa. I can tell you this, a .458 Winchester magnum off a bench will get your attention. I weighed 147 lbs at the time and I regretted agreeing to sight that thing in after working up a load. I never made that mistake again. To make matters worse, he decided that an African hunt was just too expensive and trade his Winchester Model 70 .458 to a .25-06 Remington 700. He had read too many Peter Capstick books and got caught up in it all. james

    (1) 3" magnum HP slug out of dad's single-shot H&R 12ga was enough for me back when I was a teen in the 80s. Not a huge fan of getting the crap kicked out of my bad shoulders.

James, I have had some stupid wants over the years. One was wanting a M70 in .375 H&H. After shooting that .338, I knew I could not handle many full power .375’s but I figured I could shoot cast bullets at reduced velocity in it. Good enough for deer and bear…but so is my .308!

Then in one of my rare moments of clarity I realized….”Don, you silly hillbilly, the biggest critter you will ever hunt is elk. What in the Wide World of Sports do you need a .375 H&H for?”

Reading gun rags will make a sane man stupid.

I think Kentucky Ballistics is a fun YouTube channel. Sure, he's a bit over the top, but he does show ballistic info in real time, uses shooting gelatin, and other things, and has fun. Some of the guns he shoots are just nuts. The neat part is that I didn't know they existed. He did have an accident with the Serbu 50 cal, bit that was due bad ammunition the he showed were dangerous after the fact. He also shared the info to save others from similar situations.

He is a unique personality to say the least.
