359640 in 35 Rem?? Plinking loads

Anyone here load 35 Rem with light (1K fps) to moderate (13-1500 fps) loads for their lever guns? I have a wide array of molds in 35 cal but thought the MP 359640 would be a real good place to start.

I have some test loads already worked up, but thought I would get some input if anyone has tried it already.

    Thanks!!

I have that same mold. But, since I have a lever gun in 357, I just shoot 38 special in it. I'll watch this thread...maybe learn something.

It should work. I have a 170 gr. bullet I shoot in a .358 Win, and it will go into a quarter inch group at 100 yards if I do my part.
The solid soft lead bullet is undoubtably the best and most satisfactory expanding bullet that has ever been designed. It invariably mushrooms perfectly, and never breaks up. With the metal base that is essential for velocities of 2000 f.s. and upwards to protect the naked base, these metal-based soft lead bullets are splendid.

Forget everything you know about loading jacketed bullets. This is a whole new ball game!
