OK People. Enough of this idle chit-chat.
This ain't your Grandma's sewing circle.
EVERYONE!
Back to your oars. The Captain wants to waterski.
It is interesting what different people consider a normal amount of primers. I have been using old large rifle primers in place of large pistol. It goes against conventional wisdom, but have not had any issues with them.
You should rotate your stash since Dupont sold Remington almost 30 years ago and the white box was used 10 years before the red box which came after the red and green bo
You do know that there are a lot of manufacturers that make their 45acp brass with the small pistol primer primer pocket ..

Afraid those prices are long gone. I'm just wondering what and when he primer price will stabilize. It seems that less tha $80 -90 per 1k is the going rate.
It's quite stable now . . . ninety to a hundred a thousand.
Cogito, ergo armatum sum.
(I think, therefore I'm armed.)
I just came upstairs after doing a primer count. I have 22,500 small pistol on hand and about 17,000 large. I forgot that I had that many. Glad I stocked up before everything went south 2 years ago.
It’s time to think about a flintlock.
IIRC ,it was 2017 when the makers were having to battle to reduce stocks of components ,and big boxes of primers (5000) would often be under $100 on clearance...........and at one time someone was clearing millions of 6.5mm bullets for 10c each......$100/k.
Welcome to my world. The past brick of primers (small rifle) cost me $169.00!
Old enough to know better, young enough to do it anyway!

$89/1000 here but still more fun than a tank of gas.

I've started reloading primers as well as cases , using H-48 compound it works very well just have to remember you are dealing with corrosive primers and treat you guns and cases as such but not worrying to much about running out of primers now
Just picked up Federal GM205M (sm rifle match) for 6.99/100 at my local Ranch & Home. Unfortunately a 2 box limit and I doubt they'll last for me to make 4 more returns to make it a full brick.
Non-mercuric is kinda old advertising. I once lucked onto a guy getting the local ranges storage unit cleaned out. 35/5000 for anything. Best buy ever, too bad I was poor as a church mouse. I did scrape enough together to last several seasons of high power. Surplus powder for the win!!!!
Looking for USGI M1 and carbine rifle parts, please PM me.
