GregLaROCHE replied to a thread Looking for a Truck in Our Town
I was always more or less a Ford truck guy. I’m retired now and don’t need a truck, but I’ve only heard good about Toyotas. I don’t know about prices, but if I were to buy a truck today, I think it would be a Toyota, if I could afford it....

I think Smokes sells a variety pack of colors to get started with. I’ve never used clear, but you have a point, that it will be more difficult to see less than perfect coating.

GregLaROCHE replied to a thread Do you scrap in Cast Boolits
I have lots of different containers with boolits in them. Different sizes, weights, sized or not and PCed or not. I make sure I put a piece of paper in each indicating what they are. When I get down to less than six or so, I usually put them in the...

What I’m looking for is an equivalent to Goex FFF in Swiss. Buying online you don’t often get to see a picture of the powder. If I want FFF Should I look for no. 2 Swiss?

What is the equivalent of 2F and 3F Goex powders in Swiss brand powders? I am in France and the local Vectan brand of BP doesnít have an equivalent of 3F. It goes from 2F to 4F and I would like to try out some 3F. I can get Swiss brand here, but am...

Some people use the spray method to coat their boolits, but I think most use what we all “shake n bake”. It’s putting some powder, boolits and sometimes airsoft bbs in a covered plastic container and shaking them for a while. Static electricity...

I’ve looked at some of their guns and thought the price were reasonable, but don’t have any first hand experience.

I give mine a quick coat of Ballistol spray, usually when they are still a little warm.

It’s the same company. It looks like they are popular, because they make more different calibers now.

So what exactly is the Parker Hale bullet? What makes it different, anything besides the weight? Is it simply the weight the British originally used?

I have beguiled a RCBS 6.5 mould to get the boolit a little larger. A few layers of aluminum foil in the mould is all you need. It works. You can run the boolit through a sizer to get it back to perfect round if you want.

Pure wheel weights are fine. You can even add some pure lead if you have some on hand and want to stretch your wheel weight alloy.

It’s good to know that they are that consistent. I didn’t know. That’s why I asked the question. And yes range scrap is not that consistent. At the same club, where lead only handgun rounds are mostly fired, the leas is much harder and varies, than...
