Not to say it's not a mechanical issue with yours, but when mine used to jam it was from bits of broken cap brass getting stuck down in the action. Holding it upside down and giving a lot of wiggling of all the moving parts would often clear it.

It doesn't take much of a cap fragment to jam up the works. That would be the first bit of troubleshooting to start with - Bulldogger gave sage advice.
Ever watch the old cowboy movies where they fire a shot and flip the gun up vertically? It's not recoil, or to cock the gun, it's to clear cap fragments from the action.
Back in the "old western" movie days there was an actor who used the long, slinging method of firing his six-gun. I'm trying to remember his name as Frog Millhouse on the Roy Rogers show, but with so much time passing I could be wrong on both names. Frog was a large fellow with a jolly laugh, just one of the crew on that show.
Hi thanks guys you are all correct but i should have explained my problem better, the cylinder will turn once and then jam as if the bolt does not clear the cylinder that's why i thought it was in the back end were the hooks meet the nub on the hammer.

Is the gun new or used? Have you stripped it down completely to give it a good cleaning, check parts, check for cap jams, and to familiarize yourself with its workings?
As far as tipping the gun up to clear spent caps - I've tried it in the past, but that method points the muzzle away from where it should be pointed.
Hi checked all of that i can now cock it but the cylinder wont turn it look like the bolt has cleared the cylinder but it some times turns one notch and then jams. joe
I assume this is not a new gun or you would have sent it back. Take Nobade's advice and contact Goons Gun Works - he is a specialist in these revolvers.
