Of all the strange and nightmarish aspects of the Chinese Plague, the T.P.stampede is by far the weirdest . Well it is imported from L.A., lower Arkansas, Crossett to be exact. Curious as to the source of the stampede?

Easy to get TP and PT here, so I may survive in style :P
I know this thread was posted up in fun. But seriously, my Wife watches for sales, uses coupons and shops on Senior day for the discounts. She buy stuff like TP that won't spoil in bulk. We have an oversize garage and built cabinets in frown of the parked cars so we have lots of storage. We probably have 6 months or more of Tp, paper towels, cleaning supplies, ect. She also buys steak sauce, ketchup, mustard, jelly, ect in the large bulk packs. Its a pretty large initial investment but at the end of the day we save money this way.
The run on TP was a laughing matter to us!
Told the girlfriend that is why she is spending so much time with me. I still have two unopened bulk packs of tp.![]()
ckd isle 3 still 9 boxes of small rolls and more than 12 boxes of large industrial rolls think we'll be ok for the next pandemic as well
Was in a Walmart over the weekend, plenty of TP to be had, no one was even in the isle buying it...still have month supply maybe.
Take a kid to the range, you'll both be glad you did.
I went shopping this weekend, plenty of TP, paper towels. The one thing that did surprise me was the shelf of kidney beans was empty.....
Pipefitter, you may have just started a rush on kidney beans. I don't mind but just think of all those folks running around looking for kidney beans. The wife buys things in bulk so about three weeks ago when I rounded up all our TP we had about 140 rolls. Three days ago UPS dropped off a 36 roll case from amazon. She likes to keep a years supply of non perishables and we have three freezers packed with mostly meat. We get dry foods, beans, rice flour and such in bulk and then repack in #10 cans plus she likes to home can fruits, veggies and fish. Gas and diesel are so cheap now that I got a couple of 220 gallon fuel tanks and am filling those with fuel.
Years ago I got caught in a primer shortage so I made sure that I was not going to run out of reloading components ever again.
Still drawing from my Y2K stash.
Uncle works for a company that makes TP rolling/cutting machines. He used to be able to bring home test rolls. His basement was literally stacked floor to ceiling. Everyone that visited went home with a trunk full. Sadly, an employee thought they would sell it and ruined it for everyone.
When the virus hit I went into a buying frenzy. Yep, I ran out to the store and bought a gallon of milk and a loaf of bread. Whew!!! Catastrophe averted!!! Good on everything else for a couple of years.

My avatar is almost a dead ringer for my little buddy Chico. Six pounds of mean that thought he was a Pit Bull. Miss that little guy.
I found another 12 rolls in the house.

That look on your face, when you shift into 6th gear, but it's not there.
I'm about WIPED out, only 3 rolls left.
2 cases left. I did notice that there is no butter to be had anywhere. Strange that

I was talking to a truck driver who happened to be at the feed store about a month back..I guess it could have been 2 months ago now as all the days seem to run together, but anyway he was on the loading dock waiting for his truck to be unloaded at a local Sam's Club talking to the store manager. He said a woman in a mini-van pulled up to the bay they were in front of and ran her receipt over to the manager and said she was picking up. The manager looked at her and looked over her vehicle, and asked where she planned to put 2 pallets of toilet paper. The driver said the pallets were 4x4x8' high. People definitely went crazy around here with it. He said they were pulling TP out of warehouses in Austin to deliver to OKC, so I guess Austin wasn't having the same panic buying then.
TP is still panic buying for some reason. I've got word that people are meeting Dollar General Trucks in the parking lots at 0300 to be first in line to get the toilet paper.
