I know we've been thorough this before, but what have you found to to be the best method after swaging the bullets?

Swaging. Keeping the 40's running for the price of .22's
and .223 bullets for a fraction of a cent!
Hot soapy water (Dawn) cold water rinse and oven dry. (240 degrees)

I toss them in my ultrasonic cleaner. Does a pretty decent job. I’ve also used the Isso brass cleaner to rinse bullets once they are done.

Hot water and dish soap, wet tumbled with air rifle BBs.
Dishwasher soap never removed lanolin for me while wet tumbling lubed brass, still have to try woolite.
I spray them with brake cleaner and roll them in a towel, that seems to work great.
I tried woolite and it didn't work for me, maybe I got the wrong woolite ???
I just rinced 40lbs of 22 cal bullets to test the woolite against other stuff, only other soap I used that I liked was a face soap...

Before I always used mineral spirits which works great but I no longer can stand the smell.
Just a couple squirts of the face soap messaged in with a lot of bullets then rinse clean with hot water.
Works good, use it to clean the grease off my hands too after all day in shop.

You know..... I have shot some pretty impressive groups with the light layer of lanolin still left over on the bullet. Not neatly as pretty looking but the holes in paper looked the same

Woolite in boiling water for 10-15 min.'s stirring occasionally w/hot tap water rinse. I think my spoon is stainless, and it depends on the bullet, but I try not to over fill the pot. It gets kinda difficult to stir the big fat bullets without splashing water all over the stove.

Zinc plated steel and although it doesn't seem to matter, the zinc is wearing away. I was too cheap to buy the copper plated ones.
Make sure the water is hot and give it a pretty hefty squirt of dish soap to work, you'll know if it wasn't enough if there are little globs of lube floating around in the mix when done tumbling.
I use swaging lube to full-length size rifle brass and use lacquer thinner to totally eliminate the lube before wet-tumbling.

Yep, I use lacquer thinner or acetone
Bob
Don't let the 6mm PPC Benchrest crew here that.... There will be a global shortage of Lanolin
Just cleaned about 4k jackets using acetone. I use an old t shirt to strain between batches.
I use acetone as well.
I run them thru the tumbler.

I am with BT Sniper, I can see no sense in Washing it off a hunting bullet. The critters do not care. They still die.
If I am making them for someone I will use shellite and leave it at that.

The bloke out in the field is always right until proven otherwise.
I've used Dawn and a little 91% alcohol in the hot water mix to remove lanolin from brass.
Doing this in a closed container to inhibit evaporation of the alcohol.
Follow up with hot water rinses and oven drying.
Lanolin is best soluble in ether but I haven't had any starter fluid handy.
Laundry soap and citric acid has been working for be now.
