    MP molds

just wondering if anyone has had experience with MP molds? i'm thinking of a 4 or 6 cavity for the 230 grain 45 acp. prices seem good on the website, was wondering about quality and shipping. anyone have any dealings with them? thanks

Buy it. The brass ones are heavy but once you learn how to use them they cast like a dream. Good value for the money.

I have looked at them in the past, still saving my pennies. They have a vendor page in the forums. Lots of group buys and my impression is they are well thought of.

Shipping takes about 9 business days usually (unless there's some sort of trade issue going on). They come from Slovenia.
Quality is perfection, no less. You'll not find a better mold.

One of the best moulds made. The brass ones are so pretty you almost hate to even use them the first time, but the bullets come out to well that you soon get over it! The aluminum 6-8 cavity molds work well too, better than most LEE molds I have, as the aluminum mold blocks are better quality aluminum and the sprue plates are steel, not aluminum.

I have 2 now: an 6 cav. 068 & a 8 cav. 9mm 130 gr. both of which are aluminum. I'm on the list for a 6 cav. aluminum 452374 in Group Buy Discussions. I haven't tried the brass ones as I understand they are heavy & I'm old.

In my opinion they are the best that $ can buy.

Buy one.....you will not regret it.

Long slippery slope here with MP Molds. Started with one, have 12 or 14 now with another two group buy sign ups. Resale is strong, they go quickly. Buy with confidence

I have three with another coming. If I need a new mold I typically check MP's website first and then go to the other places if he doesn't have what I'm looking for. Excellent molds, great boolit designs, what's not to love?

If you have arthritis in your hands the four cavity ones will put a pretty good hurting on you, but you can’t beat the quality. The bullets are so nice you almost hate to see them fly away.

Excellent quality and they make excellent boolits. Only down side is the weight as mentioned above.

Decent moulds, I bought one to see what the fuss was all about. He has nothing on Accurate or N.O.E., the roll pin sprue stop is a turn off.

The hollow point molds are beautiful but the 6 &8 cavity moulds are amazing they are every bit as nice as any high quality mold but with more holes and the vastly superior Lee style sprue plate.

I really like my MP aluminum molds. Can't contradict any of the positive comments here.

I purchased one MP 4 cavity .45 SAA mold a few years ago. It arrived quickly and is the most beautiful machined object I’ve ever seen. You could put a new one on your desk or mantle as a conversation piece or art nouveau.
The thing will flat drain a Lee pot in no time and drop some of the prettiest boolits you ever saw.

My two do not have roll pin sprue plate stops. They have a very robust bolt with a machined bushing/spacer......1st class.

They are as good as any you can buy, better than most. I have about 8 of them, mostly Cramer style HP molds, and they are excellent. The 4 cavity brass gets heavy fast if you are in or near your dotage, but if you get them in the sweet spot, temperature wise, they rain boolits.
