For all the do it yourselfers here. Here the quick easy way to make a baffle
Tools you will need for this
dividers pencil or scribe will work
sicsors Exacto knife or tin snips
Masking tape
steel ruler 6" is fine here
Material is a clear plastic bottle, or aluminum flashing
Measure the inside of your hoppers dia and divide by 2 this is the radius to set dividers to.
Cut a piece from a soda bottle or flashing apply a layer of tape. This allows pencil to show better and saves scratches
With the ruler lay out a straight line long enough to cover both halves of the baffle plus some. A center point and 3/8"- 1/2" each way of the center point
lay out the 2 circles from each center the ones 3/8 of center point
connect the out side of the 2 circles with the straight edge. This makes an oval piece the size and flat shape of the baffle.
cut out with snips or exacto knife carefully following the lines.
measure in from each edge 1/4" lay out a straight square line to center line on each side
with the snips cut off the ends flat, this makes the passages for the powder down the sides into the meausure
Fold in half and insert into hopper.
If you want the baffle above the bottom support a strip of material cut to correct width and long enough to make a full wrap inside the hopper will make a nice ledge for the baffle to sit on.
For material soda bottles, aluminum flashing, plastic sheet, (card board makes a temporary one to test with) any sealed material that's thin and easily bent
