The gun shop where I work has a 25 yard indoor range. I am allowed to test fire any caliber of rifle or handgun I bring into the store. Normally (for paying customers) any rifle caliber stronger than .223 is not allowed due to a history of repeated damage to the bullet deflector plates. This permission give me a lot of opportunities to test different firearms and calibers. Last week I took in a Winchester Big Bore in 375 Winchester to test a new load combination. One of the owners asked what I was doing with "that thing??" I immediately answered him with - "you've heard it before and may hear it again, but this rifle is my playmate of the week!" That got a laugh out of all the staff.

Sadly I have not shot my 45-70 since My Stroke in 2015, I just dug it out of the safe, but I plan to soon
as I've been busy casting for it.
