    Babbitt is not cheap at close to $20 a pound but ~8% copper and the rest tin it could provide a repeatable alloy more easily than most approaches. Don't think I would spend the money for plinking ammo but for hunting or certain uses that push the envelope it might be worth the cost.
    Scrap.... because all the really pithy and emphatic four letter words were taken and we had to describe this source of casting material somehow so we added an "S" to what non casters and wives call what we collect.

    Kind of hard to claim to love America while one is hating half the Americans that disagree with you. One nation indivisible requires work.

    ive heat treated thousands of lbs of #2. It heat treats just like any alloy with antimony or arsenic will
