If you have a need for a long range scope then the answer is yes.
Those are sought after by many. Bring that baby back to life.

might seem pricey to have it redone but I would do that in a heart beat.
Look twice, shoot once.
I would have it cleaned and tuned up as needed, these are fine old scopes and once rebuilt will be a very usefull scope.
I'll tell you what, if you don't want to get it done sell it to me.
compare the repair price versus a new good quality 24 power scope.
That is a nice old scope that has apparently served well for many years. I would pay the price for a refurb.

That is a beautiful scope with what I imagine is a lifetime worth of experience...maybe I'm a sentimental softy but I'd git R' done and fixed.

Here's one very near yours that's been refurbed;

Any suggestions on who repairs these????
If you click on the supplied link above from "jsizemore" you'll find that the company that is selling the used Redfield scope the same as yours also services and repairs scopes ... they did the refurb on the one that they're selling ...
I may have passed my "Best Before" date, but I haven't reached my "Expiry" date!
Here's a previous post from fellow members;

I had an older 3x-9x Redfield refurbished by Ironsight, supposedly the authorized repair center for older Redfield scopes(?) The refurb price for all scopes was $85 plus shipping. The scope came back fantastic! The only drawback is their backlog. It took 14 months. Check them out here:

I see they have gone up some. Refurb for a target scope is $105.

Iron Site is still back logged with work.
Sent L&K Scope Repair an email.
Any other good scope repair places to try????
Got a reply from L&K scope Repair.
$250 and 4 to 6 weeks.
Little to much for me.
Any other suggestions?????
Seems very few places do scope repairs.
If it just needs a cleaning of the lenses, could a eye glass maker do it????
If the lenses appear to be white when looking through the scope it probable has lens separation and would require that lens to be re-glued, Or replaced, "Costs more",
If they are just dirty the scope can be disassembled and hopefully the lenses cleaned and adjusted, And if the mechanical parts don't have a problem then a complete repair can be accomplished. Cleaning Optical lenses is an art, I would not recommend anyone trying to clean their own scope optics. For You will fail.
That from an Optical instrument repair man for many many years.
