    Very happy right now.

    I now have ~ 1300lbs.

Next week I'll pick up the Linotype he's got left.

I think he set aside 500lbs to take worth him.

That is a nice big pile-o-lead at a really good price. And those old WW's have a reputation for being a little richer alloy than newer ones.

I have a piece of plywood a drop in the back seat to cover, spread out the load, and provide stable stacking surface. Once had 400# of 5# ingots stacked on it. Pontiac Sunfire. Most abuse I ever heaped on the poor car was a 35 gallon barrel about 3/4 full of lino and mono type. They put the barrel in the back seat on its side using a fork lift, and we slid it into position. Even with the board to spread out weight that seat was very low. Don't care if the back seat is a little "soft" now, I ride in the front.
Scrap.... because all the really pithy and emphatic four letter words were taken and we had to describe this source of casting material somehow so we added an "S" to what non casters and wives call what we collect.

Kind of hard to claim to love America while one is hating half the Americans that disagree with you. One nation indivisible requires work.
