Sorry for the state of the work bench. This is my casting spot at work that I spend time at instead of lunch.
Would love to read a tutorial (with parts list?) on how you did it, if you have time to post it.

got the LnL setup with large pistol primers and the 45 dies and shell plate. Ran a few dozen test rounds through with WST as the powder of choice. Will test them at the range next week before I load up a bunch.
My feedback page if you feel inclined to add:

Smelted 400 lbs down. Lots of wheel weight. Some xray lead and some exercise machine weights.

cleaned up a bit and took inventory. still debating putting up a small building to dedicate to my habit. I just cant justify heating and air conditioning to be able to store certain things. if I cant do that then why do it at all. I already have the room in my house, but I'm hesitant to cast inside without the proper setup

Sounds like it would be easier, cheaper, and overall more convenient just to dedicate some space, and give it an exhaust fan?

I'll see what I can do. Got the parts kit off the bay for 50 bucks.

62chevy, good eye! I plan to add a 120v a.c. exhaust fan on top not that it needs it. It was a little right but I'll play around with the layout on the next one
Ill try anything once, twice if I forgot

Yeah, I'd be driving the Hyster forklift home. And it would totally be worth it! That's a beautiful sight. Might be a little rough to get one of those into my lee 4-20

Sorted through another bucket of wheel weights, this one was given to me.

75# CWW, 2# SWW, 35# steel, and 5# Zn. And a big coffee can of garbage.

The bottom 4" of the bucket was full of nasty old black oil, made sorting a real mess. Free flux, I think.

And, I think I've found a market for the zinc......

Picked up another 270 pounds of lead from the scrap yard to add to the two previous trips for a total of 713 pounds of lead. I need to get busy melting it down, cleaning it and getting it into large ingots. Fun times. Guess what I will be doing for Christmas?

I stop at little car garages anytime I go pretty much anywhere out of the area. Normally yielding 25% per 5 gallon bucket. Here in the people's republic of new York I get all I can.
That and the 44 eats it up fast at 26 boolits per lb.
