    35 cal single cavity

Did they ever make a RCBS 35-200-FN in single cavity or a similar design? I have found I like casting with single cavity molds and am looking for something to feed my 35 Rem and 358 Win with.

I don't know for sure, but I kind of doubt it. Most of their single cavity mold were larger bullets, like 45 rifle or larger.

Another very good option would be accurate molds or mountain molds. Both make 1 cavity molds and both have an excellent reputation.

Maybe you don't like round nose but I use the Ideal/Lyman 358315 in the 35 Remington. I use both single and double cavity molds. Or look to the premier makers above, they are great.

Not so much that I don't like them but I do want to hunt with this boolit. Which custom mold maker would be the best to go to for a single cavity mold?

Mark one of the cavities with a small dot in the nose and you can use one cavity to your hearts content.

I'm sure many people have hunted with that boolit. But I know most prefer a flat nose.

Accurate and Mountain are equally good. It's more of a matter of taste. If you like to choose a design from a catalog Accurate has that. If you like to design your own with an online program Mountain has that.

easy enough to make it into a good hunting bullet with a couple swipes of a file across the nose or as I do just use a flat nose punch when sizing easy and works fine . Plus the older SC ideal / Lyman moulds are a lot less expensive

Why not just cast with only one cavity of the RCBS or Lee 200gr FN molds, if that's what you want? Just because there are more than one cavity doesn't mean you have to use them.

The new Lee 358-200-FN is a good bullet, BTW. I'm very happy with mine for several different 35 cal rifle cartridges.

Yeah I have a single cavity RCBS.35-200 FN . Picked it up on eBay for my 35 Remington's and Whelen. No I won't sell just wanted to let you know that there out there. By the way mine has never been cast with.
