    Congrats!

GOD is giving you the greatest blessing (except salvation) that you will ever have, on this side of Heaven.

Awesome!! Our second one is a boy, he is 8 months and crawling, trying to pull up to things..throwing everything on the floor, making motor noises (I may have taught him that). Lots of fun!

I've been a father for a long time, I found out I was going to be a father on my 19'th birthday, I'm now 48 and I have 8 children. Being a father is the most enjoyable and frustrating thing I've ever done. I really can't think of doing it any other way. You are embarking on the most wonderful, frustrating, blissful and aggravating part of life.

HA, I dropped the wife off and left. She didn't need my help! I was NOT going to sit hours reading People magazines. They called when it was over.
They did not let me in with her anyway back then so what was the point?
Why don't they have gun books?
She still brings it up but she does the same to me. She goes to Mickey D's for tea while I got my eye fixed. She can't hold my eyeball!
    But congrats.
Carol took the daughter for a colonoscopy required by school insurance. I got a call when she was done, they could not find Carol. She was in the room with Kim. Carol can't sit for hours either.
    Go fishing!

Great TexasAggie!! Congrats for the new "buddy"!!!

My 2year nephew is already "carrying" the capgun Unc sent him... I always joke his father he's probably my kid, since he likes guns ("want the boom" or "want the ta-ta"), watered coffee and wants to take a tobacco dip (of course he doesn't but he sees me doing so!)

Congrats man! Stock up on 5hour energy and coffee.....lots of coffee!! Hopefully you get an easy baby that sleeps through the night. First 6 months were rough but now that I'm used to him it would be weird if I didn't have him around. Oh and wipes...you can never have too many wipes scattered around the house.

Congratulations Dad! A couple of quick bits of encouragement. Nothing makes a woman feel more secure than a husband who prays every day. A family that prays together stays together. Stay close to God and your child will see you as their hero forever.

Well everyone said parenthood would be a challenge but mix in cystic fibrosis and we'll have a challenge on another level... We hit the generic s-storm lottery and are both carriers, our baby boy got both of our mutations, F508D and N1303K, confirmed with an amniocentesis.

We're both just scared s*#*less and I'm posting it here because almost no one knows me and we don't want to make it public but I need to talk about it to work through the grieving process. If you know who I am feel free to reach out, just don't spread it around to the buddies just yet.

We have a meeting with our perinatal specialists and local CF team this Friday, hopefully we'll get answers to the dozens of questions we have... I'm having a hard time focusing or even putting together a coherent sentence or thought. I've always welcomed a challenge and I've never shied away from adversity, but I don't think I've ever been dealt a hand like this. We're both looking for strength, inspiration, and prayers from anyone willing.

Not all of Gods blessings are measured with the same yardstick. Be grateful for the privilege of caring for one of his special gifts. It's not anyones fault and not by any means a less wonderful event. CF isn't a death sentence, but rather a challenge. It will require more patients, persistance, and love.
Prayers sent for the three of you.
