do mountain molds come with handles? seems like lee is the only one that supplies them with the blocks, also how are they as far as quality, I was looking at the .458-405 mold, only available in aluminum, any experience? thankyou

Mountain Molds do not come with handles as far as I know. Mine did not. I am pleased with the quality also. I have a .360" 255 gr mold from Mountain for my 358 Win.
Nice quality molds, your Lyman handles will work fine.
The solid soft lead bullet is undoubtably the best and most satisfactory expanding bullet that has ever been designed. It invariably mushrooms perfectly, and never breaks up. With the metal base that is essential for velocities of 2000 f.s. and upwards to protect the naked base, these metal-based soft lead bullets are splendid.

The cheap Lee 2 cavity molds are the only ones that come with handles that I'm aware of.
Mountain Molds makes good stuff. I have two molds from Dan and they are fully the equal of molds from the other custom makers like MP and NOE.

Mountain Molds are very high quality molds and if there is any issues (I never had any) Dan would take care of you I am sure. His molds do not come with any handles however the Lee 6 cavity mold handles work very well for his molds.

Lee 2-cavity handles are designed to fit Lee 2-cavity molds, and nothing else. They're not really even supposed to be removable, though I have done so.
A set of interchangeable Lee mold handles will run you about $20 and will fit 99% of the molds made today (or yesterday for that matter). You really can't scrimp here. Just get the new handles.
Great molds, my shooting buddy has had Dan make him several and I've had him make me a few as well. I really like the on line software that lets you dial in a design just the way you want it.
I use RCBS handles with mine.
Lee 2 cavity handles could be made to work, but you'd be better off with the Lee 6 cavity or RCBS 2 cavity handles.

Dan make good molds. I use Lee 6 cv handles with them. I like aluminum for these old bones.

Have 6 mountain molds and just ordered a new one, none come with handles, it says so some place on their web page.
the program software works great but won't let you buy buy long nose bullets and a few other features so if there is something you want call and talk to Dan he will get it done for you.
